Ciao everyone! An Italian sparkly dinner party with flair! :) What fun the girls had - dance competition, and fashion show and @Marcel_Perfom and tons of giggles and fun! Complete with semilia and waitress, a chef, and "paparazzi" ! Earth hour was also observed - very diligent young ladies!!

Grolsch playing

So this evening, Paul dashes home wildly excited - he gets to have a Grolsch - this does not happen often! [we rarely get 2 seconds to sit still, nevermind actually open a nice relaxing drink!]
I played a bit....not much - there are still 2 sick little monsters demanding our attention. SO here is what I got:

My Great Uncle came to visit my folks for a week this last week. I took him to gardening class at @play [which he says he enjoyed - loads of little people planting, and learning about goggo's and climbing into tents and much more!], and on Friday morning, I decided to take him out for tea. I thoroughly enjoy his company - even though there is a 60 odd year age gap, he has so many interesting stories, and has had such and amazing life! My mom had taken him out to all the "fancy" tea spots on this side, so I took him to Big Bay. We tried Moyo....hahah, not quite a tea and scone place! Stunning, but not tea and scones place! We then went to Eden Caffe'. Wow. Nummy nummy scones, awesome service [#brandplus there guys!] and the most amazing views:
The yayness of Friday does not end there however! I got home to find a post office slip. I had NO IDEA what it was for - my birthday is still quite a way off [what else could it be? :P]
My darling friend Ida, had sent me a package! Love my friends so much :) Now, while her shop is currently empty, I have some stuffs from there - sooooooo awesome!

Adin - My Right Arm

Last night, I was thrilled to have the way out opportunity to photo-document his inking. Tattoo number 4 [I stand to be corrected] was for Iso100 - and looks awesome! Thanks to "Young Guns Tattoo parlour" in Observatory!

2nd April is World Autism Awareness Day!
I thought the best place for something like this, should be here, on my blog.
My darling husband has decided to create a wooly version of himself, and grow his beard - no trimming, no shaping, nothing, until the 15th of JULY - in support of Autism Awareness . Joining him so far, is Ken - all the way from the UK, and Mr Andile Mali - Fleet shift Manager for Caltex, Round Table member, and personal friend of Gerhard Pieterse

Any donations would be appreciated - buy an Autism Awareness button for R5 - available from Autism Western Cape. We are continuing to raise awareness and look forward to the whiskerino entry!!

"Beards4good - why do we do it?
Beards4good was started as a way to bring specific causes to people's attention by growing a beard. Beards, recently have become less of a social norm, especially completely unkempt ones. The longer and more unkempt the beard, the more folks start asking questions as to why you have such a large beard! This gives you the perfect opportunity to explain to them the above, as well as the current cause that you are promoting.
My current beard is for Autism Western Cape. I have spoken at many conferences since starting to grow this beard and have managed to speak to some large audiences about not only what I was there to talk about, but Autism too. I hope that in my own small way, I have raised some awareness for Autism in the process.
I urge all men to grow beards for good. Beards were once thought of as a sign of virility and masculinity, there is no harm, and who knows, you may even make a difference!

On a side note:
When Hans Langseth of Norway died in 1927, his beard measured 17.5 feet. This is on display at the Smithsonian Institute.
The longest beard belonging to a living person is 6ft, and belongs to Shamsher Singh of India.

April 12th 2010: I have undertaken to take part in this in my own kind of way. Certainly won't get beard growing right haha, but will have a result on 15th July 2010 :)

Minnie Mouse [pseudonym :P] turned two years old yesterday! What a cute little angel! I am only adding a few images here, and showing no faces, as I just want to document the event.

Wow - what fun I had today! Cuddling with gorgeous baby K-dude, and swirling and pointing toes with B-chicklet! Mom and Dad were full of ideas, and even little K-dude's "un-nappied incident" was funny - well, for me anyway :)

The Bear

So a whole lot of my photography is of Matti - son #1. I do have son #2 - "Bear", and he has just turned one :) He rocks. He laughs, smiles, chills and is happy pretty much constantly. He has moments where he narrowly escapes death due to pneumonia and RSV and other wild tropical diseases he picks up - not sure how, but apparently common nonetheless.

I love this one LOTS. Same as the other one, and LOTS :) I LOVE being a boy mommy. I LOVE being the mommy to such a naughty, happy, loving bunch of little okes. It seriously brings me ridiculous amounts of joy [ssssh, I am supposed to moan about this stuff though :P ]

If not on twitter, the title of this blogpost will be very confusing! Basically, a woman called acidicice, and her husband rudicowboy [their "user names"] are having a baby shortly, and baby has been dubbed #babyice :)
I was thrilled and jumped at the opportunity to play photographer, and learn from @queenofcomplex and @andrevr !!! [If you know them, you will understand why and how lucky I am!!!]
Here is a tiny taste of what I did today....
